My name is Audrey Skyburn and my life is quite ordinary.
If by ordinary you mean I am the most brilliant technological genius the world has ever known (after the first technopath, Ada Lovelace, of course), can throw fire in any way, shape, or form whenever and at whoever I choose , have a group super hero friends who are the only reason I’m still good, and a father who’s all but abandoned me.
You see, I may be ordinary but I’m not THAT ordinary.
I’m a technopath/pyrokinetic. Those are fancy words that mean I’m good with computers and can throw fire. Neat huh? Well, don’t get to excited.
I have that kind of red hair that looks like embers when against snow, but on a gray day can appear more of an auburn brown. And don’t get me started on how many conversations start with, “where’d you find gold contacts?” *sigh* Nowhere, my eyes are really golden. Oh, and I am vertically challenged. Yes, I’m short, but remember what I said. Fire balls.
Anyway, despite my brilliant self I am still only 18 and a senior in high school who’s room is decked with a paper chain counting down the days until I graduate. That’s normal right?
I also work part time in a greenhouse/plant nursery. I hate it, but it pays, even if I nearly die of humidity. I can get very frustrated with current events, especially since hardly anyone seems to pay attention to the real issues, but instead get distracted by a dress.
That’s why I’m here. To make up for all the people in the world who believe a dress that changes colors is the biggest story of the month.
I’ll be the first to admit though, it takes a lot more effort from me to remain with good guys. I am too impatient, and tend to create a mess. My friends help keep me in check
