*sits down with a book* What’s your favorite book, Saxon? I think mine are “A Tale of Two Cities,” “Treasure Island,” and anything by C.S. Lewis or J.R.R. Tolkien. I also love the works of Brian Jacques.

*makes a face* I’d have to say I prefer H.G. Wells and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, classic-wise. I like stuff that’s kind of… *coughs* gory or action-filled. I hate fantasy, seeing as I come from another world. Most of that stuff is horribly inaccurate, although some is good.

Really? H.G. Wells is sort of heavy stuff… but if you’re looking for similar authors, I’d like to recommend G.K. Chesterton. Though he has a bit more of a subtle way of ridiculing some things. Genre parody, you know? And though he’s mostly considered a “religious author”, his fiction sometimes doesn’t even mention Christianity as a faith at all… unless you read behind the lines, for the Christian assumptions that act as the bedrock for his work. 🙂

I think I have a GK Chesterton book or two on my Kindle. I really just liked The Time Machine. 😉
