The Teenaged Superhero Society was founded, not as an exclusive-and-difficult-to-enter club, but largely a support group. However, the onset of a new threat to the safety of innocent civilians pushed this group of unusual teenagers into doing the unexpected.
They would become superheroes. Crime-fighters. Supervillain busters.
~~~~
The Teenaged Superhero Society began as a concept. Bored out of their minds, six young authors, joined at the last minute by a seventh, came up with the idea of developing a story together in a creative commons setting, working together to create, craft, develop, and world-build over a series of chapters–or posts.
Two of those authors, IcedMocha34 and Writefury, decided that they could not commit full-time to the Society, but they remain on in a support role. You can visit their blogs here and here.
Visit the Author Pages to meet the writers behind the superheroes, or the Character Bios to learn more about the characters of the Teenaged Superhero Society.
Guess what… some people on YouTube have been guessing who will be working with Cap through the whole Civil War arc… and the possible team that someone put together, based on the comics, was three girls and Cap… Oh boy. X-P Though it wouldn’t be the first time for him. He was on the road with a troop of dancers for a couple of months at least, and I can definitely see him being able to help them with their hairstyles and such… AWWW that would be so adorable!!! Steve braiding someone’s hair! (Also, for some reason, Sif was in the line-up… what’s with that? I didn’t think she had any respect for any men except the Warriors Three and Thor.)
Half the time when you ask, “Um, what are you doing?” it’ll be something most likely very stupid and not in the least important. The rest of the time, it’ll be things that might incriminate the doer, and in some cases, the witness as well. 😛 Such as Cap hiding the coffee from Merlin (both Merlin and Arthur love the stuff, for some inexplicable reason, but it makes Merlin so crazy. Does the same thing to Loki, in fact. Loki was acting like he was drunk, and Merlin kissed me on the nose. Man that was a weird morning…)
On the other hand, that would make a great story… nvm.
Anyway, a while back I drew a series of drawings of what I’d imagine the girl version of Captain America would do with her hair in reflection of her personality and what she was going through spawned a short story. I’m excusing myself by saying that I’m doing this to get the feminist from my modern theater class out of my system. Anyway, it’s actually oddly relevant to the original character. Oh, and I’m going to have a couple of months with no school before summer classes start, due to the fact that while one class is good and four credits are okay, I don’t think I’d be able to handle seven credits over the summer… does anyone know what I’m trying to say or should I try and rephrase it???
LikeLiked by 1 person
I think it’s going pretty well. 🙂
Um… No? You should probably try to rephrase it. 😛
LikeLike
Okay. I’m taking a four-credit class, which is technically two classes; a lecture and a lab. (The lab is the sort of thing where you do something every day–in this case, WRITE EVERY DAY! 😀 The lecture is the class in which you learn about what you’re going to be doing. 😉 I have never done a lab before, so I’m hoping I do well.) Anyway, since summer classes are more intense, I’ll probably be spending most of the month it’s going to take studying (see, for regular semesters classes are normally two or three days, fifty minutes if they’re three, hour and fifteen minutes if they’re two. Meanwhile, summer classes only take one month to complete, as opposed to three, and are three days a week (or five), and often run almost two hours (an hour and fifty minutes.) They’re more intense, you see. So four credits may be most of what I can handle at this point. If I were to take the other class I was considering, it would have been seven. Hey, at least I’ll be able to get into that one class I need that I couldn’t do this semester because I enrolled late earlier than most students… heehee. I can enroll for fall in APRIL! X-P)
And that probably still made no sense, but who cares, you’ll get it once you’re in college. 😛
Good luck! (Whatever you do, don’t go for fast food unless you’re willing to work tons of extra hours whenever they get busier than usual, and don’t mind working really super late, especially during the holidays.) You might want to begin searching now; just specify in your applications that you won’t be available until summer. 😉 You’re more likely to find a job before summer’s over, if you do that. Oh, and Snagajob is a great web site, though it doesn’t automatically fill out your applications from the information you’ve previously supplied like some other sites I’ve tried will… *sigh* Expect to spend twenty to thirty minutes on each application, unless it’s for something that would entail working for the government. Then it’s more like forty-five plus. Also, the UPS applications are not for the faint-hearted.
*sits in the middle of the floor, scrubbing Steve’s shield and grumbling* My five-year-old sister “borrowed” it and used it as a shovel in the sand box. Gah, Marvel. -_-
😛 I would love to use it as a shovel in a sandbox. So much fun.
Yeah, but we have weeds in the sandbox and then she used it to dig up stuff in one of our gardens. I only hope the leather cleaner gets the dirt off the straps properly.
Yes, but I don’t want him to have to worry about dirty shield straps.
Shouldn’t you guys come up with some sort of grab code for the fan button so it links back to this site? while you have a fan button, it might as well get you more readers.
Oh, Saxon? *hehhem* I mean, proverbs31teen? The header probably looks how you intended on the mobile version of this.
I tried to get it to work. I’m not sure why it’s not. Maybe I should call Batman. Or Tony Stark. Or, I don’t know, anyone who knows more about coding than I do. :’-(
Hmmm… I guess the blog is mobile-friendly, and only looks weird on laptops. I don’t know how to fix that…. umm… NATASHA!!! We need help fixing our web site! And no, Tony, Steve was NOT messing with options. -_- Why do you keep asking that? It’s not funny, by any stretch of the imagination.
Hesitant MBTI typing of the Teenaged Superhero Society’s members:
Starlight: INTJ (that’s my least hesitant one)
Lannis: ENFJ
Audrey: ISTP
Saxon: ENTP
Rebeccah: ISFP
How accurate was that? What do you guys think?
LikeLike
Well, it was probably pretty close: I’m an INFJ, so my character is probably much the same.
LikeLike
That’s what I was thinking for Lannis at first, but I second-guessed her as an extrovert just because of her ability to read other people’s feelings. And her part in bringing them all together. Either one works, really. But the empath thing kinda threw me for a loop. 😛
LikeLike
I don’t know. She might get energy from being around people, she might not. She certainly isn’t a life-of-the-party type.
LikeLike
No, not life-of-the-party sort extroversion. The main cognitive function in ENFJs is extroverted feeling, that picks up on the needs and feelings of others really well. It’s the secondary function in INFJs. Were it not for the empath power, I’d type her as an INFJ, but should I include it is the question….
LikeLike
I don’t know. She’s more reserved and more of a thinker. She likes to look at things from all angles before trying to solve the problem…
LikeLike
Okay, yeah… probably INFJ then. Your character, you win. XP
I just did the MBTI test for Rebecca and she’s actually an ESFJ. So you’re off by two letters. Though she might be a P instead of a J and I just don’t realize it . . . IDK. According to the test, she only has a 6% preference towards judging over perceiving, so yeah. She’s definitely an extrovert, though.
However, I am an ISFP. So it’s possible both that (A)more of me and less of Rebecca is coming through in the posts, and that (B)Rebecca is basically just an extroverted version of me.
I can kind of see how you got Rebecca as an I instead of an E . . . most of her posts have her either alone or with the TSS, so her extroversion doesn’t show a whole lot.
I can see that. ISFP was just the first thing that came to mind. XP She was actually one of the few characters I wished I could type as an ambivert, though. 😉
LikeLiked by 1 person
Really? What about her makes you think she’s an ambivert? (I’m curious- I don’t know much about ambiverts in general.)
LikeLike
She’s just very well-rounded. I had a hard time pinpointing because she’s flexible according to the situation. She doesn’t moan about not being around people (like an extreme extrovert) or shrink inside of herself in public (like an extreme introvert).
I myself am a bit of an ambivert, so I can relate as well… 😛
LikeLike
Ahhhh. That makes sense. Thanks. *makes a mental note to look more into ambiversion*
